Mente retires the Four Corners name and bets on its own brand
Mente announced on October 5 that it will be consolidating its aviation businesses under the Mente name. Four Corners Aviation, the firm’s charter and management company, will become Mente Aviation and have a new logo of its own while Mente Group will keep its name and get a slightly modified logo. The two branches are planned to operate closely and will run from a single website. Mente was founded in 2009 and has become a leading advisor in business aviation. It is an IADA-accredited dealer with IADA-certified brokers and surpassed $1 billion in aircraft transactions in 2025. Four Corners was launched in 2021 as a sister company. Mente claims the change is about simplicity and overhead. Instead of having multiple association memberships, two websites and duplicated marketing, customers will be able to contact one company for Mente’s services. “Business aviation decisions are interconnected,” said Mente Group founder, president and CEO Brian Proctor. “Our clients want experienced advisors who can look beyond an individual transaction or flight and help them understand the complete picture. Bringing Mente Group and Mente Aviation together allows us to make that expertise easy to use.” The company organizes its work into five principal aviation service offerings: Strategy, Transactions, Operational Consulting, Appraisals and Charter andamp; Management which covers worldwide charter services, plus the Freedom program, Mente’s alternative to traditional aircraft ownership. Why it matters According to Mente Group, it draws four to five times the web traffic that Four Corners does, so the charter and management business now trades on the stronger name. It also leaves one company advising on aircraft, selling them, appraising them and operating them. How Mente manages those distinct roles for clients who want an independent valuation for aircraft headed to the market is the question to watch as the combined brand name takes hold.
