Plane makes emergency landing on Interstate in Chicago suburb

On Tuesday, a single-engine Beechcraft passenger plane made an emergency landing off the shoulder of the southbound lanes of Interstate 355 in Bolingbrook, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
The Beechcraft G33 Bonanza (N9283Q) was leaving Middleton Municipal Airport (C29) for Brookeridge Air Park (LL22) according to Aviation Safety Net.
The Bolingbrook Fire Department said that the pilot did a fantastic job landing after engine failure. The FD said that no vehicles were involved, the pilot was unharmed and the plane was not damaged in the landing. There were no additional passengers on the plane.
A video shows the plane, intact, on the side of the busy interstate. NBC Chicago reported that the plane landed just before 2 p.m. and the plane was hauled off by that evening. The FAA is investigating the landing.
According to ABC, this is the second time that a plane landed along the interstate, with a Beechcraft making an emergency landing in May 2021. The plane had also lost power and made an emergency landing, with a pilot and three passengers on board.
