The NBAA has an impressive speaker lineup for the 2023 Leadership Conference. The conference will be on Feb. 27- March 1 at The Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, NC.
The conference will focus on professional development, networking and expert-led sessions. The event features a “Dynamic Excellence” theme that focuses on body language, daily growth, confidence, boosting morale and maintaining personal excellence to provide attendees with the skills and insight needed to develop as a leader.
“The NBAA Leadership Conference is an important asset for our community, as it provides emerging and veteran leaders an opportunity to benchmark their management skills and gain recurrent training that isn’t specifically tied to aviation,” said Jo Damato, CAM, NBAA senior vice president, education, training and workforce development.
“Our Business Aviation Management Committee volunteers and Leadership Conference co-chairs, Dave Salvador of Gogo Business Aviation and Brad Self, CAM, with VF Corp., organized an amazing event last year that helped attendees emerge from the isolation of the pandemic,” she said. “We’re going to build on that successful event with an even stronger conference this year.”
The attendees of this upcoming conference will have access to two networking receptions and sessions with a lineup of speakers who are experts in their respective fields.
Speakers at the Conference
Pamela Barnum
Barnum is a former undercover police officer and federal prosecuting attorney. She uses real-world examples, tested in the field, to assess nonverbal cues. These examples show her how to respond in ways that communicate both confidence and trust.
Dave Berke
Berke is a retired U.S. Marine Corp. officer, ground combat leader and fighter pilot. He provides unique experience and perspective on combat leadership, decision-making, risk mitigation, and how to create winning teams.
Todd Henry
Henry is a best-selling author. He is a consultant, creative leadership and performance expert and teaches other leaders how to create everyday practices to lead to everyday successes.
Anne Palmer
Palmer is an internationally known author and speaker. She is seen as a clarity expert and leadership and communication strategist. Palmer focuses on using modern neuroscience principles to develop leaders while creating a safe and inclusive culture.
Dr. Sian Proctor
Proctor is a geoscientist, space artist and explorer. She was the first Black civilian astronaut and a pilot for the 2021 Inspiration4 all-civilian orbital mission. She is known to encourage people to use their strengths and interests to inspire those within their reach.
Christy Wright
Wright is a certified business coach, speaker, best-selling author and personal development coach. Wright teaches others how to create messages they are passionate about and to share with others.
