Kayak for Business Enterprise Taps Altour as TMC Partner

Blockskye and Kayak for Business have selected Altour to serve as their global travel agency partner for its Enterprise clients, the companies announced.

The partnership will allow clients of the Kayak for Business Enterprise platform—which was built from collaboration between Kayak for Business, blockchain technology provider Blockskye and initial client PwC U.S.—to access Altour’s travel management services in more than 80 countries. Those services will support a “growing global client base” for the platform, according to the companies.

“Altour brings the reach, expertise and service excellence to expand our platform to more global markets,” Blockskye co-CEO and cofounder Michael Share said in a statement.

Besides PwC U.S., other announced clients include Deloitte for its U.S. program and beyond as well as TripAdvisor and multinational alcoholic beverage company Diageo. PwC and Deloitte both are among the four biggest travel programs in terms of U.S.-booked air, as ranked in the most recent Corporate Travel 100. Speaking at BTN Innovate last fall, prior to the Deloitte announcement, Blockskye co-CEO and co-founder Brook Armstrong said the platform was working to implement three large global clients as well as some midsized clients but was being selective with clients as It was in “innovation” mode.

In the BTN Next News Desk program earlier this month, Blockskye chief commercial officer Hank Benedetti said Fortune 500 companies remain the primary market.

“For a smaller business, saving in the single digits or low double digits [percentages] in terms of travel spend is important but not as meaningful as a PwC,” Benedetti said. “That is why the larger the company, the more attractiveness that Blockskye, at this point in our lifecycle, can offer them.”

Kayak for Business has a separate offering targeting small and midsized businesses.
