Jim Richmond Backcountry Aviation Foundation announces Mustang flight as raffle prize
Jim Richmond Backcountry Aviation Foundation (JRBAF) announced on Thursday that one of the prizes of its 2025/26 is a ride in a WWII P-51 Mustang.
The aircraft is provided by The Liberty Foundation for one ticket holder to win a flight on. It is powered by a 1,490 HP Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and is painted with the “Old Crow” livery of triple ace Bud Anderson. The winner can choose to redeem their flight at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on July 22 to 25 or at the Mustang’s home base in Atlantic, Georgia.
The Mustang will be flown by Ray Fowler, one of the most experienced pilots of both vintage and modern warbirds.
