Delta Air Lines has enabled select SkyMiles for Business members to redeem earned miles for eCredits that can be applied to travel agency bookings via global distribution systems, the carrier announced this week.
SkyMiles for Business is Delta’s program for small and midsize companies, which the carrier revamped in October 2023.
Eligible users include SkyMiles for Business Plus and Elite members, and those with eCredits issued as of June 3, according to Delta.
Delta’s eCredits have a specific monetary value that can be applied as payment toward the cost of a ticket. Users can redeem miles for eCredits but previously could apply eCredits only to direct bookings, not GDS bookings through agencies.
Delta’s eCredits remain redeemable via the SkyMiles for Business website and the Delta Professional platform, and can continue to be used on the Delta website and mobile app.
“This enhancement helps companies maximize budgets and elevate the travel experience,” according to Delta.
