Cleveland Air Show announces return of F-22 Raptor demonstration team at 2023 show

The Cleveland Air Show returns this year and with it, the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration team.

The F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation fighter that incorporates fourth-generation stealth technology, radical maneuvering capabilities, an ability to fly at supersonic speed without using afterburners and unprecedented pilot situational awareness. The F-22 is a dominant force and an advanced air superior fighter.

The fighter will perform an aerial demonstration each day of the show. As one of the most sought-after demonstrations on the air show circuit, the Cleveland Airshow offers an incredible opportunity to view a one-of-a-kind aircraft. The F-22 uses its maneuverability with computerized controls and powerful thrust-vectoring jet engines to give a performance unlike any other.

The Cleveland National Air Show will run from Sept. 2-4 and feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Tickets will be available online in advance of the show. The Air Show is a financially self-sufficient nonprofit and ticket sales support the costs of the event.

The show was established in 1964 as an indirect successor to the National Air Races. Each year features performances and exhibits.
