Blackhawk Group adds Silver Sky Aviation in Alaska to service network
The Blackhawk Group announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Silver Sky Aviation in Wasilla, Alaska.
The service center is the sixth location to be added to Blackhawk’s Performance Center Network. The company states that Alaska is one of the fastest-growing turboprop regions in the world due to the aircraft’s abilities and reliability being required to operate in the harsh weather environment. Silver Sky has been providing maintenance and performance upgrade capabilities for over a decade and has experience with supporting King Air, Caravan, Kodiak and PC-12 platforms.
“Silver Sky provides a tremendous opportunity to expand The Blackhawk Group’s support of Alaskan aviation,” said Blackhawk CEO Chad Cundiff. “Turboprops are a lifeline for operators in the region, and many already benefit from Blackhawk and Finnoff upgrades. Silver Sky’s reputation for technical expertise, customer support, and operational excellence – combined with the resources of The Blackhawk Group – will accelerate capability expansion while creating new career opportunities for the Silver Sky team.”
