American Airlines now offers TSA PreCheck Touchless ID at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints at four airports, the carrier announced Thursday. The airline in October 2024 said it would begin offering the service.
American AAdvantage loyalty members now can use the service at Reagan Washington National Airport, LaGuardia Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Salt Lake City International Airport. The carrier plans to introduce TSA Touchless ID at additional airports “in the coming months,” with a focus on hub destinations.
Loyalty members who are 18 years and older can opt in to the service in their AAdvantage profile on the American website by providing their AAdvantage number, valid passport information and Known Traveler Number, and can choose to opt out at any time, according to American.
