
Air Canada has realigned its executive team with new appointments effective May 1, the carrier announced Tuesday.
Mark Galardo, EVP of revenue and network planning and president of cargo, has been named chief commercial officer, and will retain his role as president of cargo. In addition, Galardo will be responsible for marketing, according to Air Canada. The carrier’s most recent chief commercial officer, Lucie Guillemette, retired in 2023.
Mark Nasr, EVP of marketing and digital and president of Aeroplan, the carrier’s loyalty program, has been appointed chief operations officer. Responsibilities in the new role include optimizing “all aspects of a safe, reliable and efficient operation, while elevating the customer experience” for Air Canada’s network. Divisions within his role include flight operations, maintenance and engineering, airports, in-flight service, contact centers, international operations, regional express carriers, and onboard cabins and systems.
EVP and chief operations officer Craig Landry will assume the role of chief innovation officer and president of Aeroplan. He will head up technology, with responsibility for digital, data, cyber security and AI functions.
