American Airlines on Oct. 5 will launch premium-economy service on select flights between New York John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, the carrier announced Friday.
In addition to a wider seat and more legroom, customers with premium economy on those flights will receive priority check-in, security and boarding, as well as a personal amenity kit, an Ostrichpillow lumbar pillow, a crepe weave blanket, complimentary drinks and a hot meal.
Further, beginning this weekend, American will introduce unisex Nest pajamas for business class customers on all widebody flights departing from Dallas Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and JFK bound for destinations across East Asia, the Middle East, India, Australia and New Zealand, according to the carrier. Later this summer, the airline plans to return mattress pads to the cabin.
