Delta to Open New Seattle Lounges, Add Int’l Service

Delta Air Lines in May 2026 will add daily nonstop service between Seattle and each Barcelona and Rome, the carrier announced Tuesday. The flights will operate with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, and include Delta One and Premium Select cabins.

In the meantime, Seattle customers will have access to two new lounges that are set to open June 25 at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport—a Delta One lounge and Delta Sky Club in one separate yet connected space, according to the carrier. The lounges are located across from Gate A11.

On the top floor, the 10,000-sq.-ft. Delta One lounge will have seats for 149 guests inside and 72 on a wrap-around terrace with views of Mt. Rainier. Below it, the 14,000-sq.-ft. Delta Sky Club will seat up to 183 customers. It also will have two shower suites.

Delta One customers flying out of Seattle also will have access to concierge-style check-in, similar to the experiences launched at Boston, Los Angeles and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

In addition, eligible passengers in any cabin who check in via the Fly Delta app and enroll in the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck Touchless ID facial-recognition identification program (formerly Delta Digital ID) can access expedited bag drop and security lanes in Seattle. This program will roll out to all Delta hubs by the end of the year, according to the carrier.

Further, Delta has secured priority access to 18 gates across Concourses A and B at the airport, “streamlining operations and ensuring a more seamless, elevated experience for travelers.”
