American Express Global Business Travel has expanded its Virtual Payment Expert digital payment solution into Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, the travel management company announced.
VPE, which is powered by virtual payments technology provider Conferma, lets companies pay for both online and offline hotel bookings with a virtual card. That virtual card automatically becomes the form of payment in the hotel booking, and Conferma tools automatically reconcile the payment. Travelers have access to Amex GBT travel counselors for issues related to the hotel booking and virtual card, and they can add virtual card numbers to their digital wallet via the Conferma app.
With the addition of the two countries and Hong Kong, VPE is currently available in 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, according to Amex GBT.
