Cathay Pacific on Thursday debuted its new Aria Suite business class in North America on flights between Hong Kong and Vancouver, Canada, the carrier announced. Flights with the new suites will be “progressively introduced” beginning with three flights per week.
This is the third route in which the Aria Suite cabin has been introduced, according to Cathay, following Hong Kong-London Heathrow and Hong Kong-Sydney flights.
The suites are available on retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which also include new premium economy seats and a “refreshed” economy cabin. The three-cabin layout includes 45 flat-bed business seats, 48 premium economy seats and 268 economy seats.
The business-class Aria Suite seats retain a “generous bed and ample storage,” but now also include a suite door for privacy, customizable lighting, a 24-inch 4K ultra-high-definition screen, a wireless charger, a console for storage, and USB-A, USB-C and AC power outlets. For those in middle seats, there are movable suite dividers.
Premium economy seats now come with wings near the headrest, a 15.6-inch 4K ultra-high-definition screen, additional storage and a reading light located in a wing. The economy cabin includes “improved front row ergonomics” and additional overhead bin space.
