Earth Day: Hospitality Cooperation to Accelerate Sustainability Actions
Earth Day is a yearly reminder that the global hospitality sector needs to speed things up on multiple fronts. The past few months have shown policy makers can establish essential frameworks from the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity framework to the High Seas Treaty. Ultimately, tackling complex challenges requires cooperation, collaboration and coordination between multiple stakeholders across the public and private sectors. Driving sustainability, whether it is about industry standards on metrics, sharing best practices or joining forces to ensure a transparent supply chain, on Earth Day Saturday April 22nd it is an opportunity to showcase the Sustainable Markets Initiative and its Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism Task Force where industry leaders are focused on building momentum for the entire sector to move from intentions to more sustainable actions.
How do they plan to do that? Tune in and find out! Discussing hospitality, leadership and cooperation to advance sustainability are: Glenn Mandziuk, Chief Executive Officer at the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (https://sustainablehospitalityalliance.org/), Xenia zu Hohenlohe, co-Founder at Considerate Group (https://www.considerategroup.com/) and Willy Legrand, Professor of Hospitality Management at IU International University of Applied Sciences (https://www.iu.org/) in Germany.
