Textron announced last week that Aerus, a new regional airline in Mexico, has launched a fleet with its latest purchase of two 19-passenger configured Cessna SkyCourier twin-engine turboprops as well as four Cessna Grand Caravan EX turboprops.
The new airline recently had three Grand Caravan EX aircraft delivered. Both models of this Cessna were designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc, a Textron Inc. company.

“A fleet of Cessna SkyCouriers and Cessna Grand Caravans will enable Aerus to be successful in growing service range and frequency of flights,” said Marcelo Moreira, VP of Sales, Latin America region, Textron Aviation. . “Both aircraft offer superior performance and low operating costs in combination with flexibility in cabin and payload.”
The SkyCourier is a twin-engine, high-wing, large-utility turboprop that is offered in cargo and passenger variants. The Grand Caravan EX is known for its performance by regional airlines, charter operations and cargo carriers.
The new regional airline is based in Monterrey, Mexico and will cover the unserved national and international routes to fit the needs of its customers. The acquisition of the Cessna SkyCourier and Grand Caravan EX aircraft will allow Aerus to serve customers after it begins airline operations, which are planned to begin in the first quarter of 2023.
