Airline content aggregator TPConnects is integrating its conversational AI agent into its platforms for travel sellers and airlines, the company announced.
TPConnects’ Trip Captain travel assistant, which the company developed via the Amazon Bedrock service, will be part of both the Iris platform for travel sellers and the Astra platform for airlines. That integration will allow users of the platforms to interact in natural language and automate workflows, cutting down agent response time and increasing accuracy, according to the company.
“By integrating advanced AI capabilities into our Astra and Iris platforms, we’re not just adding features and automating existing processes,” TPConnects chief technology officer Praveen Kumar said in a statement. “We’re fundamentally transforming how these systems understand and respond to traveler needs.”
The initial capabilities will be available in the Iris and Astra platforms in the second half of this year. A future update will include adding voice-driven booking capabilities, the company said.
